ChemSoc,
Hello little followers and bloggish viewers :) I'm back, well for this post at least, might be a while again before the next one, didnt anticipate just how busy uni was going to be this year.
Anyway, another logo design, kept it simple and with the CMYK <3 again. My friend Robbie asked me for a logo for the Chemistry society, took me about 10minutes, I love the colours and he seemed to like it :)

Exciting things!
Okay, so my lack of posting is carrying on a bit longer than expected as whenever I seem to be free I seem to be exhausted. (this will be worse for the next week or so as freshers has arrived and I'll be working every day for the SU or my course) So my blog posts shall resume next week, hopefully with some lovely new photos of Huddersfield freshers, for those of you who arnt fortunate enough to attend it yourselves.
Also my etsy shop shall be delayed too. I have sold two keyrings already offline though so if your in Hudds and know me, feel free to come buy a raindrop keyring off me, theyre even waterproof. My other designs of keyrings are still needing to be made currently as I got a bit distracted, but dont worry, theyl be here eventually :)

Top2Day.
My friend asked him to do him a logo for his new website. Wanted something fairly childish because he wanted to bring out the child in people.I came out with this lovely simple CMYK design. At the top is the origional design I came up with then after some editing below it is the design I chose as my final one with a grey background to match the website. The design works rather well on the website. Check it out for yourself here.

Propaganda Update
Len asked me to mess around with the design a little more, this time putting a sihloette in place of the man, so far i'm not a huge fan of this one, but len likes it, even though we both think it needs a bit more work to make the man stand out a bit more.

9/11
Today me and my flatmate watched United 93, enjoying my last day before I start work then uni again. The subject fascinates us both. Juice sent me the link to the top one of these photos, which of course, with my love of photography and interest in 9/11, sent me trawling through the internet looking at photos from the day. I really liked these ones, especially the one of the firemen, it looks like something out of a movie.
You'd think these photos would make me terrified of flying to New York next year, but honestly they make me more excited to go, and a trip to ground zero is definatly on the list.

Annorexia.
Did another mental health shoot yesterday for Laura. We did a couple of annorexia shots this time, which was the idea of model Emma. The shots came out pretty good and I liked the idea behind them so i thought i'd have a bit of a mess about with this one. I deliberatly made Emmas waist stupidly skinny to emphasise the idea a bit more..although this is only a rough idea i'd use and I would also work the rest of the body in proportion.
Im not particularly fond of the design, more the idea, it needs a lot more work before its something I want to use but it still sets the scene.
I apologise now for my lack of posting over the next few days as i'm moving into my loverly Huddersfield flat tomorrow and have lots to do :)

Claude the Cloud
Having to do everything digitally this week because everything I own is now packed for the return to Huddersfield on Saturday.
Keeping it simple this morning with this cute little cloud done in illustrator, fairly basic but I rather like him :)

Propaganda - Spy
So my friend asked me to do another flyer for his radio show to go along side the one with the radio tower on. He asked my for something with a traditional spy, of course with the word propaganda on it. These are slight variations of the design I came up with, just with slightly different shadowing. Opinions welcome, especially students as thats who these flyers will be going to.

You've got mail!
Been meaning to have a mess around with some postage tags for ages, found these few old ones hidden in my room somewhere so I gave it a go. Rather like them, especially the little hearts which i made myself using lino, theyre kind of cute :)
I also had a go at coming up with the logo for some packaging for when I open my etsy shop, I made the little wings myself and im rather pleased with this, although i do need a bit of a stedier hand as some of these are double printed or smudged.
Once I'v got some more postage tags and opened up my etsy store I shall have some on sale :)

Moving Brands.
Got my Moving Brands goodie bag through today! Came with its own bag, sketch book and magazine! There was even smarties thrown in!
The magazine was really cool, the front cover can be used in conjunction with the website and a webcam and shows things like twitter, blogs, videos and pictures. The ideas brilliant for keeping up with the modern world as nothing stays the same for long, but with this process it allows information to be updated online constantly. Have a go by visiting the Moving Brands Living Identity page and printing off your own AR cover.

Hello Rainbow!
Last week I was graced with the presence of a double rainbow! You cant really see the outside rainbow on these snaps, they were a bit too faint to show up sadly (although you can just see it in the third image down) I love the colours of these shots! Theyve only been photoshopped slightly but I think the colours stand out a mile! I also rather liked these stormy shots. I do admit none of these shots are groundbreaking, but they were taken out of my parents open bedroom window.

Anyway, above is one of my new projects. A 20meter roll of paper which im just going to draw and colour, I'm hoping it will help my illustration skills even more. This is a bit I did a couple of weeks ago, hopefully i'l like the next bit a little better. I'l keep this updated as much as I can but I have a feeling I will soon be very busy :)
