Take two
Second attempt on graphics tablet, this is getting much easier, might be time to give it a rest for today though, my eyes keep going blurry from staring at the screen too long!
deadly star.
So for xmas I got a shiney new graphic tablet, I never knew how difficult they were to use!
Anyway, heres my first very amusing attempt at using it, at least you'll all be able to see how much I progress on it haha :)

Photography competition.
Down by the canal.
Huddersfield Wonderland.
Entered a competition ages ago for some 'iconic image of Huddersfield' to be displayed in Queensgate market in Hudds for most the year. Out of the 10 images to be displayed two of mine were chosen :)
Might not be majorly big to most people but I'm happy with it :)
The images will be displayed from 10th January, assuming all goes well, until November in 2011. :)

Photography Lessons
As part of our course in second year we have to do a couple of photography lessons. They wernt very creative in the projects they set us, one of which been shutter speed. We also got shown how to properly set up a studio, something which I'v never been shown before, partly because of my love of shooting outdoors rather than in a studio, but it does have its uses. We got to do a couple of portrait shots and a couple of product shots in the studio. I have never, and never will class myself as a portrait photographer (even though you could argue thats my current job) shooting people is always too much of a hit and miss for me and definatly not my strong point, particularly telling people how to pose for photos. However product photography I do seem to be slightly better at and I quiet like the lighting on some of the 'D"s above, although theres a lot I would change even in those images.
I apologise for my lack of blogging lately, Iv been very busy. (Dont worry mum and grandma I will show you all my latest unblogged works when I'm home for christmas as i know you keep checking for more)

Update.
So I'm about to get very busy again as we've just been set a new uni project making 3D typography. Mint, but a lot of work to be done in a short space of time. A lot happier with this project than the last one.
Also have a project designing some stuff for Event management students, had offers to do 3, so far definatly doing one, others are time dependant so anyone in Hudds willing to help out with one give me a shout :)
Once I'v got this lot done there should be a lot more to go up on the blog and I shall be getting myself applying for placements :)

Britishness.
So probably the worst project I've ever been given, Britishness. The aim of the brief was to create something to advertise 'This is Britain' for the British council. We were told in the brief the subject was aloud to be challenging but my tutors prefered me to do something more possitive. In the end I have ended up looking at both the possitive and negative aspects of Britishness and using photography to represent this. I'm not particularly fond of any of my final pieces for this one although these photos of the pop up cards dont do them justice. I will put better photos of them up along with photos of the fronts and backs of them aswel.
